Jampuijala, Sepahijala: The Sepahijala District Administration has forwarded a request submitted by Dr. Sunil Kalai, a concerned citizen from Jampuijala, seeking the establishment of a Government Degree College, Fire Station, Petrol Pump and CNG filling station in the Jampuijala Sub-Division.
According to an official communication issued by the Office of the District Magistrate & Collector, Sepahijala District, Bishramganj, and digitally signed on 15 September 2026, the matter has been forwarded to the concerned departments and authorities for enquiry and necessary action.
Dr. Kalai had submitted his representation on 10 July 2026, highlighting the need for improved educational facilities, emergency services and fuel infrastructure in the area. The request specifically includes a Fire Station for emergency response, a Petrol Pump and CNG filling station, as well as a Government Degree College for local students.
The District Administration forwarded the matter to the Director, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department; Director, Fire & Emergency Services; Managing Director, Tripura Natural Gas Company Ltd. (TNGCL); and Director, Higher Education, requesting them to examine the matter and take necessary action from their respective ends.
The official letter also states that the representation regarding the proposed facilities is enclosed with the communication and has been forwarded for consideration.
Welcoming the development, Dr. Sunil Kalai expressed happiness that his request had been formally forwarded by the district administration. He also expressed hope that the government would consider the requirements of the people of Jampuijala and take appropriate steps towards fulfilling them.
However, the forwarding of the request does not constitute approval or sanction of the proposed facilities. The concerned departments will now have to examine the proposals and take further decisions according to the relevant requirements and procedures.
