Sepahijala, September 15, 2026: A school eye screening camp was organised at Debipur Higher Secondary School under Debipur Ayushman Arogya Mandir, which functions under Madhupur Primary Health Centre in Sepahijala district.
The camp was organised by the District Blindness Health Society as part of efforts to promote eye health and early detection of vision-related problems among schoolchildren.
During the programme, the eyes of students of Debipur Higher Secondary School were examined. The students were also provided with necessary guidance and advice regarding eye health, vision care and the importance of seeking timely medical attention for any vision-related concerns.
School-based eye screening programmes play an important role in identifying vision problems among children at an early stage, allowing those requiring further medical attention to be appropriately referred.
The initiative at Debipur Higher Secondary School highlighted the importance of bringing preventive and basic healthcare services closer to students and strengthening awareness about eye health at the school level.
